The Hispano Suiza announced this Thursday the name of the new version of the electric hypercar Carmen, which will pay tribute to the 120 years of the company that will be celebrated in 2024.
Sagrera is the name of the new model of the brand, a reference to the roots of Hispano Suiza in the neighborhood of the same name, in Barcelona, an area recognized for its industrial activity in 1911, where the company installed its first major factory, coinciding with an increase in production.
Little is known about this evolution of the Carmen, which will incorporate a 103 kW battery that is already being tested in the Carmen Boulogne, and will represent an important evolution in terms of aerodynamics.
“The Sagrera is the result of the constant evolution of the Carmen and the Carmen Boulogne. Furthermore, it establishes the basis of the design line that will continue in the brand in the coming years. I can’t reveal too many details yet, but it’s enough to continue satisfying the desires of our customers, who asked us for something like this, and to continue being unique,” emphasized Sergio Martínez Campos, CEO of Hispano Suiza.
The brand guarantees that the new electric hypercar was created to “keep the legend alive, taking performance, sportiness, and passion for luxury to a new level.”
It is worth mentioning that the new model will complete the range of hypercars from Hispano Suiza, formed by the Carmen and the Carmen Boulogne.
