Hyundai announced that it will start selling its models in the United States through Amazon, starting in 2024.This way, the South Korean brand becomes the first automotive company to allow complete transactions on the well-known American commercial platform.The South Korean brand has stated that customers will be able to customize the chosen model on the Amazon website, calculate its price, and locate a dealer to complete the sale.
This agreement reached between Hyundai and Amazon also allows customers who purchase South Korean brand models through the well-known platform to have access to the voice assistant Alexa in their new cars.“Partnering with one of the most customer-centric organizations worldwide opens incredible opportunities as we continue to expand our portfolio, increase our sales network, move towards electrification, and realize the future of intelligent mobility,” said Jay Chang, CEO of Hyundai Motor in a statement.
