Being China the largest hub for the development of technology for car electrification, with over 200 electric vehicle manufacturers in that country, the news succeed each other at an incredible speed. And there are options for all tastes. HiPhi is one of the latest to receive the green light to market its models in Europe, targeting the high-end segments.
In addition to the HiPhi X, a premium SUV that was launched two years ago in China and is positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model X, the launch program of this Chinese brand includes a supercar with over 1300 hp of power. The HiPhi A, developed in partnership with WESAIL New Energy Automotive, with the participation of ShanghaiTech University, is designed to please a new generation of performance and driving pleasure enthusiasts, focusing on innovative design and materials such as titanium with aeronautical patterns, both in the interior and in the bodywork, nano-ceramic, aluminum, and others.
The model is designed to have three electric motors, one installed in the front, and the others in each of the rear axle wheels (steering), a configuration responsible for all-wheel drive. The motors adopt an ultra-high-speed carbon fiber rotor design, capable of reaching 22,000 rpm for a period of over 30 minutes (almost double what a modern F1 car can achieve!), aided by innovative cooling technology.
The HiPHi announces a combined power of 1305 hp, and less than 2.0 seconds in the 0-100 km/h, still stating that its battery is capable of discharging 1.5 MW of power at peak, with a lower impact-proof carbon fiber protection, and a fireproof top cover. More details will be unveiled at the official presentation of the supercar, scheduled for the Guangzhou Motor Show, taking place from November 17th.
