Next season, Marc Márquez will be a rider for Gresini in MotoGP. Although he doesn’t have a direct contract with Ducati, he will ride a bike from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer… something that could have already happened in the past.
The test rider, Michele Pirro, revealed to GPOne.com that the possibility of Márquez representing Ducati was on the table, but it didn’t materialize due to financial reasons:
– One thing we both acknowledged was that in 2016, he couldn’t come to Ducati because he was too expensive, while now, he chose a Ducati to return to winning, and this is a positive aspect.
