The Regulatory Authority for Energy Services (ERSE) revealed that the average weekly price of fuels increased by 0.2% for gasoline compared to last week, while diesel recorded a decrease of 1.2%.
According to the weekly report from ERSE, the efficient price had an update, “compared to last week, +0.2% for gasoline and -1.2% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation of international quotations for simple 95 gasoline at +0.5% and simple diesel at -2.3%.”
Thus, “for the week of November 6th to 12th, the Preço Eficiente (Efficient Price) before taxes is €0.843 per liter for simple 95 gasoline and €0.955 for simple diesel. After taxes, the Efficient Price amounts to €1.748 per liter for simple 95 gasoline and €1.720 for simple diesel.”
It should be noted that the efficient price “is a weekly average price determined by ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in reference international markets and their maritime freights, primary logistics, including strategic and security reserves of the National Oil System, additional costs with the incorporation of biofuels, and the retail component increased by the respective taxes.”
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was observed that the average of the Public Sale Prices announced on the signs, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 7.6 cents per liter above the Efficient Price for that week, in the case of simple 95 gasoline, and 3.2 cents above in the case of simple diesel.”
In percentage terms, “simple 95 gasoline was announced on the signs 4.2% above the Efficient Price and simple diesel was 1.8% above,” according to the report.
