The José Carlos Pace racetrack hosts the main race of the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix this Sunday – the penultimate round of the season.
The already champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull) will start from pole position, with Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) alongside him on the front row. Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martins will line up in third and fourth, respectively.
There are changes to the qualifying results due to penalties, including in the top ten. George Russell (Mercedes) qualified in sixth, but was penalized two positions and will start from eighth.
Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly’s Alpines also incurred the same infraction and penalty, which means they will start in 14th and 15th positions on the grid, respectively, instead of 12th and 13th.
