The Circuit of the Americas in Austin will host the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this Sunday. The winner of the round will be determined, after Max Verstappen (Red Bull) came out on top in the sprint race yesterday.
Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) holds the pole position, with McLaren’s Lando Norris alongside him on the front row of the grid. Behind them, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) will start in third, and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) in fourth.
The already crowned champion Verstappen will start in sixth position on the grid. The Dutchman had actually set the fastest time for pole position, but it was deleted in qualifying due to track limits violation.
Four drivers have had changes made to their respective cars under parc fermé conditions and will have to start from the pit lane: Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hülkenberg in the Haas cars, and Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll in the Aston Martins. As a result, Daniel Ricciardo (AlphaTauri) and the Williams cars of Alexander Albon and Logan Sargeant will start from 14th, 15th, and 16th respectively.
