Carlos Sainz will start fourth in the main race of the United States Grand Prix in Formula 1. Despite not being involved in the fight for pole position, he showed good performance in his Ferrari, finishing 0.222s behind the pole position.
The Spaniard believes that the qualifying session in Austin was not negative, although he acknowledges that there are “some edges to smooth out.” And he emphasized that the goal will be to accumulate a considerable amount of points between the two races:
– It was not a bad qualifying session. I had some difficulties in the last sector, so on Saturday I will try to improve there. The rest of the lap seemed more or less good and it seems that we are in reasonable shape. Congratulations to Charles [Leclerc] for getting the pole position for the team. We will try to score good points throughout the whole weekend.
