Charles Leclerc returned to pole positions this Friday at the United States Grand Prix. To do so, the Ferrari driver surpassed Lando Norris (McLaren) in yesterday’s qualifying session in Austin.
The Monegasque driver expressed satisfaction not only with the result but also with the work done: ‘On sprint weekends, it is important to get it right, starting from FP1. We did a great job as a team to prepare the car, and that’s why it felt good to drive from the beginning, as well as throughout all the stages of qualifying. My lap in Q3 was good, and I’m very happy since I love competing on this track, and the atmosphere in this city is fantastic.’
Finally, Leclerc talked about the prospects for Saturday: ‘We start from scratch again, with the whole day dedicated to the sprint, but for now, we can enjoy the pole position for Sunday.’
