The 32 riders who will compete full-time in the Supersport World Championship next season are now known. The provisional permanent entry list features several new additions to the grid, including a manufacturer.
That’s QJMotor, which is fielding a bike for Raffaele De Rosa – the Italian raced this year with Orelac Racing VerdNatura on a Kawasaki. Adrián Huertas, who represented MTM Kawasaki this year, faces the challenging task of replacing champion Nicolò Bulega at Aruba.it Ducati.
After finishing as the runner-up, Stefano Manzi remains with Ten Kate Racing Yamaha to vie for the title, while his new teammate is Glenn van Straalen – Jorge Navarro will now be with WRP-RT Motorsport by SKM-Triumph. MV Agusta is aiming for the title with stability by once again relying on Bahattin Sofuoglu and Marcel Schrötter.
The Italian manufacturer is expanding its activities by providing a satellite team – Motozoo ME AIR Racing, with Federico Caricasulo and Luke Power as riders. Also, Triumph will have two more bikes, run by WRP-RT Motorsport by SKM-Triumph for Navarro and John McPhee.
Simone Corsi returns to full-time competition with Renzi Corse, while Hikari Okubo moves from the MotoE World Championship to join the newly arrived Vince64 Racing Team by Puccetti. Two other rookies are Kaito Toba and Khairul Idham Pawi, joining the Petronas MIE Honda Racing Team. Another notable return is Lorenzo Baldassarri, with Orelac Racing VerdNatura.
