Marc Márquez entered the Ducati «sphere» this year by moving from Repsol Honda to Gresini. After nine rounds, he is in third place in the championship, which is led by Francesco Bagnaia, with whom he will team up at Ducati in 2025.
Between them is Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), who was not able to convince the Borgo Panigale manufacturer to promote him to the factory team next year, hence he will move to Aprilia.
Jorge Lorenzo believes that Márquez’s new career path has added interest to MotoGP, and that the eight-time world champion is, for now, being successful:
– The arrival of Márquez at Ducati is very interesting; it has made the championship more intriguing because he is striving hard to compete with Bagnaia and Martín. He is having success, even if he hasn’t won yet.
The former rider also predicted something for 2025: ‘Next year, with the factory bike, it will be difficult for both Pecco and Márquez. It will be a great battle’.
