The World Ducati Week 2024 is fast approaching, taking place from July 26 to 28 at the Misano circuit and its surroundings. One of the event’s highlights will be the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 916.
Designed by Massimo Tamburini, the Ducati 916 was launched in 1994 and is considered one of the most beautiful sports bikes ever made. Aesthetics aside, it is undoubtedly one of the most iconic models in motorcycle history.
The 916 wasn’t just remarkable on the streets; it also excelled on the racetrack. The Ducati 916 secured four World Superbike Championship titles (three with Carl Fogarty and one with Troy Corser) between 1994 and 1998.
And in the context of this celebration, the WDW will mark the launch of the first official census of Ducati’s 916, 996, and 998 models. This initiative aims to preserve the historical heritage and highlight the unique character of this line of sports bikes.
Owners of these models are invited to certify their bikes’ status and have the opportunity to participate in special activities with Troy Bayliss and Carl Fogarty at Misano. Additionally, they will have exclusive access to the Ducati 916: The Essence of Ducati DNA exhibition.
