The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE), revealed this Monday, states that the average prices of gasoline and diesel have fallen by 1.1%, respectively, compared to last week.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for regular gasoline by -2.5% and for regular diesel by -2.4% respectively.”
Thus, for the week of July 22nd to 28th, “the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.834 per liter for regular gasoline and €0.843 for regular diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente amounts to €1.737 per liter for regular gasoline and €1.583 for regular diesel.”
The ERSE emphasizes that the efficient price “is a weekly average price estimated by the ERSE and results from the sum of the following components: fuel prices in international reference markets and their maritime freight, primary logistics, including in this category the strategic and security reserves of the National Petroleum System, the additional costs of incorporating biofuels, and the retail component plus the respective taxes.”
Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average Prices of Sale to the Public announced on the signs, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, were 2.7 cents per liter higher than the efficient price for that week, in the case of regular gasoline, and 5.2 cents higher in the case of regular diesel.”
In percentage terms, “95 gasoline was announced on the billboards 1.5% above the Efficient Price and diesel was announced 3.1% above,” according to the ERSE report.
