The MotoGP British GP was marked by Enea Bastianini’s dominance, who won both the Sprint race and the main race in one of the best weekends of his career. Aleix Espargaró was impressed by the Ducati rider.
The Aprilia rider said: ‘He’s really smooth, he reminds me of Dani [Pedrosa] in the best days – flowing, accelerating really, really smoothly, taking really care of the rear tyre’.
Bastianini has some inconsistency in performances, but Espargaró believes that if the rival can understand what was different on a weekend like Silverstone, he will be a serious contender:
– He need to understand what is different on this type of days, and if he is able to understand it, he will be clearly the man to beat, he will be one of the favourites for the title. Because at Silverstone, the feeling from the outside is that he was doing it very easily.
