The weekly report from the Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE), revealed this Monday, states that the average prices of gasoline and diesel recorded a decrease of 1.1% and 1.5% respectively last week.
According to the ERSE document, the efficient price has been updated, “taking into account the weekly variation of international prices for gasoline and diesel, which were -0.7% and -1.5% respectively.”
Therefore, for the week of August 12th to 18th, “the Preço Eficiente before taxes is €0.812 per liter for gasoline and €0.811 for diesel. After taxes, the Preço Eficiente is €1.710 per liter for gasoline and €1.542 for diesel.”

Regarding the previous week, the report states that “it was found that the average of the Public Selling Prices announced on the gantries, and reported in the Single Energy Counter, was 3.1 cents per liter above the Efficient Price, for that week, in the case of regular 95 gasoline, and 5.1 cents above in the case of regular diesel”.
In percentage terms, “regular 95 gasoline was announced on the gantries 1.8% above the Efficient Price and regular diesel was announced 3.2% above”, according to the ERSE report.
