The Comcast Business prize allocates $40 million among the top-10 players in the FedExCup standings at the end of the regular season. Schauffele received a $6 million bonus, while McIlroy took home $4.8 million for finishing in third place. The PGA Tour’s postseason will commence on Thursday with the FedEx St. Jude Invitational at TPC Southwind in Memphis.

During the spring, Scheffler, widely regarded as the best ball-striker in the world, achieved a historic winning streak, triumphing in four out of five tournaments. The only exception was a second-place finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, where his putt to force a playoff narrowly missed. Scheffler quickly recovered by winning the Masters and then secured another victory at the RBC Heritage, albeit arriving late to the tournament.Off the course, Scheffler’s 2024 has been eventful. The 27-year-old was arrested before the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla, but the case was later dropped by the Louisville Metro Police Department. Despite the ordeal, Scheffler managed to shoot a remarkable 66 after his time in jail.
In May, Scottie and his wife, Meredith, joyfully welcomed their first child into the world.To cap off an already extraordinary year, Scheffler drew inspiration from athletes like Simone Biles and Suni Lee, as well as table tennis and the Louvre, leading him to stage a remarkable comeback and secure a gold medal for Team USA at the Paris Olympics. Scheffler’s first-place finish at Le Golf National earned him a cash prize of $37,500.
