Franco Morbidelli joined Prima Pramac in MotoGP this year, riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP24 – the strongest bike on the grid. Despite progressively improving his performance and results, he has yet to be in contention for victories or secure a podium finish.
The rider acknowledged that he could do better: ‘Well, I feel that for sure I have margin for improvement on the bike. I know the bike, but I’m not in P1, so this means that there is room for improvement’.
However, Morbidelli is uncertain where this potential for progress lies but emphasized his desire to realize the bike’s potential to win:
– I don’t know if it is on the knowledge of the bike, on the setting or the knowledge of the team, or somewhere else. But something is lacking because the bike can win and we are not at the moment. But that’s where we want to get. So, let’s see.
