The Red Bull Bull Ring hosted two days of testing in the intermediate class, and Arón Canet was the main highlight of the work on the circuit that hosted the Austrian GP last weekend.
The Fantic Racing rider, one of the figures in the championship, achieved his best lap yesterday during FP2, running in 1:33.608s, a mark even lower than what Celestino Vietti – one of the absentees – achieved in this final week on the circuit and which gave him another pole position (with a record).
Somkiat Chantra (IDEMITSU Honda Team) was the second fastest, with a best time of 1:33.725s, a difference of 0.117s, achieved in FP4.
Tony Arbolino (Elf Marc VDS Racing Team) had the last time of the three fastest, 0.153s behind the record of #44.
It is worth noting that only 12 riders were present during these two days of testing, with the vast majority achieving their best lap in the final session on Austrian soil.
