Yamaha moved from the Red Bull Ring to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for two days of testing at the circuit that will host the San Marino and Emilia-Romagna GPs in September. However, the team once again faced the misfortune of rain.
According to paddock-gp.com, shortly after starting the work on track, the team had to halt it due to torrential rain. This is similar to what happened a few months ago during private tests at Mugello and Valencia.
For these two days of testing at Misano, Yamaha has Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo, as well as Andrea Dovizioso – who is replacing the still-injured Cal Crutchlow.
The manufacturer brought seven different versions of the YZR-M1 to Misano and now hopes for a more productive Wednesday. An unnamed team member expressed frustration with the rain from the previous day, saying: ‘We are condemned to inactivity, waiting for the track to dry’.
