Luca Marini was the fastest rider on the MotoGP test day in Misano. Just like in the morning, the rider reached the top of the time charts at the end of the afternoon session, being one of the two riders to clock a time in the 1m30s range.
The rider from the Mooney VR46 Racing Team completed his best lap in 1m30.602s. This was enough to stay 0.234s ahead of Maverick Viñales (Aprilia), who was one of the riders who led during the afternoon.
Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) finished third, demoting Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) to fourth with his penultimate lap. Closing out the top five was Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM).
With 50 laps, Fabio Quartararo (Monster Energy Yamaha) with more mileage in the afternoon, working with the new engine in the YZR-M1. His best lap earned him the sixth position, 0.575s off the top.
Honda tested its prototype for 2024, ridden by the Repsol Honda riders. Marc Márquez posted the 14th fastest time in the afternoon, while Joan Mir finished 16th.
