GasGas recently unveiled its latest range of trials bikes. Surprisingly, this comes just a year after the brand introduced its already impressive trial range. It seems they were eager to renew their models, and now we have a new batch of trials bikes for 2024. According to GasGas, these are the best yet, and the specifications certainly suggest that this could be true. What’s more, all the models sport a striking red livery that pays homage to the brand’s racing heritage.
Let’s start with the TXT GP, available in two versions: 250 and 300. What is particularly interesting is the new Akrapovic exhaust system that has been added to both models. Made from high-quality titanium, this exhaust pipe not only eliminates 350 grams of weight, but also promises a significant increase in power between 2,000 and 7,000 rpm, as GasGas claims. It’s a noteworthy upgrade for these bikes.
As far as handling is concerned, the TXT GP models retain the fully adjustable Tech3 shock absorber, which has undergone some improvements. The reservoir has been enlarged by 25 percent, increasing the oil capacity. This adjustment aims to improve heat management, especially when overcoming difficult obstacles. In addition, the bikes have FIM-approved brake discs, both front and rear, guaranteeing reliable braking power. On top of all this, there’s a new gear lever designed with a shorter tip to minimize mud build-up on muddy off-road adventures.
Now, let’s turn our attention to the TXT Racing models, where GasGas has introduced a series of improvements. These models are available in four different displacements: 125cc, 250cc, 280cc and 300cc, guaranteeing options for riders from entry-level to intermediate. These bikes have a lightweight steel frame that aids agility. As far as the suspension is concerned, the fully adjustable Tech fork offers a wide stroke of 174.5 millimeters, providing a smooth ride over difficult terrain. The Tech shock absorber allows customized adjustments of spring rebound and preload, catering to individual preferences.
GasGas has also focused on aesthetics and comfort, incorporating an ergonomic fairing with eye-catching graphics in the mold. Neken handlebars and Renthal grips increase control, while the clutch and Braktec hydraulic brakes ensure quick braking power. Finally, the wheels are both strong and light, thanks to the CNC-machined axles. In short, these TXT Racing models offer a complete package for trial enthusiasts.
The six new bikes are supposed to be available at GasGas dealers around the world and were officially launched on September 7, 2023. Price and availability vary by region, so we recommend contacting your nearest GasGas dealer for more information.
