Marco Bezzecchi finished third in the MotoGP World Championship in 2023, securing his first two wins in the premier class. However, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider is only heading into his third season, so he doesn’t have the level of experience and knowledge of many competitors.
The Italian rider told SPEEDWEEK.com that he has a lot to improve, starting with his approach to each Grand Prix: ‘Of course, there are several things that can be improved; it’s always the case. You never stop learning in this sport – in any sport. In MotoGP, the level is very high right now, and you can really make a difference with the details. There are many things I would like to work on. My approach to the weekends, for example, I always want to be calm, like last year, but maybe a bit more. I want to be completely relaxed in my head so that I can focus better on important decisions when I’m on the bike and in the garage. I want to improve my riding, my training, and everything to be stronger’.
Regarding how it’s possible to improve in the garage, Bezzecchi acknowledged the value of having Valentino Rossi in the team: ‘Having Vale is a huge advantage. It’s fantastic when he’s there, but he also supports a lot when he’s at home. I can ask him anything, and he will always try to help me. I can also compare myself to others, study the data, and try to improve’.
