It’s not uncommon to find motorcycle riders whose fathers were also riders, in higher or lower levels. However, the son of one of MotoGP’s legends, Max Biaggi, will not follow in his father’s footsteps.
The Italian, who was a four-time 250cc champion and a two-time Superbike World Champion, revealed, as quoted by Il Mattino, that his son does not like motorcycles, and he even protects him from it: ‘My son has no passion for bikes, but I did nothing to make him passionate. I protect my son. He doesn’t even have a bicycle’.
Biaggi is well aware of the risks of motorcycle racing. In 2017, during a test near Rome, he crashed and suffered multiple injuries, which landed him in the hospital.
