Harley-Davidson today unveiled four new motorcycle models for 2024 that mark the beginning of a new era of performance, technology and touring design. The new Street Glide and Road Glide, powered by the new Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, are more powerful, comfortable and lighter and are equipped with advanced technology, including a new infotainment system, all in a bold new visual design. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Custom Vehicle Operations, the new CVO Road Glide ST model takes hot-rod bagger performance to another level with competition-inspired high-performance suspension and brakes, a powerful new Milwaukee-Eight 121 HO engine and a low final drive ratio that combine to produce the kind of mid-range acceleration and thrust that the most energetic riders crave. And the new CVO Pan America debuts as the first CVO in the Adventure Touring segment, ready to take on any adventure with full standard equipment and exclusive custom paintwork and finishes.
Each of these 2024 models is scheduled to arrive at authorized Harley-Davidson dealers in March 2024.
New Street Glide and Road Glide 2024
The Street Glide and Road Glide 2024 models are more powerful, lighter and more dynamic and feature all-new visual design elements that combine a cohesive dynamic flow from the front fender to the saddlebags. Both models feature an evolved fairing profile that is refreshingly modern, yet retains the Harley-Davidson design DNA that makes them instantly familiar.
Key features include:
– An updated Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine features a new cooling system that further optimizes thermal comfort for the rider and improves intake and exhaust flow for increased performance.
– Selectable riding modes – Road, Sport, Rain and Custom – electronically control the bike’s performance characteristics.
– Infotainment technology is powered by the Skyline™ operating system and displayed on a 12.3-inch TFT color touch screen that replaces all analog instrumentation and most switches. A new 200-watt audio amplifier powers a pair of fairing-mounted speakers.
– Improved aerodynamics increase comfort and reduce helmet buffeting, at highway speeds, by an average of around 60%. The rear suspension travel has been increased to 76 mm. The redesigned one-piece seat shape and padding materials provide a significant improvement in long-distance comfort for the rider.
New CVO Road Glide ST leads the CVO 2024 range
The CVO Road Glide ST is the fastest and most sophisticated performance bagger ever produced by Harley-Davidson and represents a unique collection of components that provide high value for performance-loving riders. A deep seat and six-inch riser combined with the handlebars put the rider in an upright, energetic position with West Coast custom styling.
The main features include:
– Two premium paint options: Golden White Pearl or Raven Metallic. The Screamin’ Eagle graphics on the sides of the fairing and on the fuel tank are inspired by the Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson Factory motorcycles used in the MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers competition. CVO’s 25th anniversary graphics celebrate a milestone in factory customization.
– The Milwaukee-Eight 121 High Output V-Twin engine is exclusive to the CVO Road Glide ST and produces 127 HP (94 kW) and 193 Nm of torque – the highest power and torque figures ever for a factory-installed engine in a standard Harley-Davidson motorcycle. And a low final drive ratio was chosen to improve acceleration performance in all gears.
– The use of alternative materials helps reduce the dry weight to 363 kg. The mufflers feature lightweight titanium casings and forged carbon fiber ends. Forged carbon fibre composite has been used in the front mudguard, seat cover and tank console, the crankcase is formed from a lightweight composite and the design of the rims and wavy-profile front brake discs have been optimized to minimize unsprung weight.
– The fully adjustable front and rear suspension includes SHOWA rear shocks with remote reservoirs and SHOWA 1×1 inverted 47 mm forks.
– Premium Brembo braking components provide excellent brake feel and performance for greater rider confidence.
– Selectable riding modes – Road, Sport, Track, Track Plus, Rain and different Custom modes – electronically control the bike’s performance characteristics.
– A range of infotainment technology is powered by the Skyline operating system. A color touch screen replaces all the analog instrumentation and most of the switches. The premium audio system features a 500-watt amplifier and 6.5-inch Harley-Davidson Audio fairing speakers powered by Rockford Fosgate Stage II.
The CVO Pan America is a new discovery vehicle and the first adventure touring motorcycle (ADV) in the CVO program. All the features that made the Pan America 1250 Special the choice of the most demanding Adventure Touring riders are retained, including the smooth and powerful Revolution Max 1250 engine, semi-active front and rear suspension, touch screen display, selectable riding modes and Daymaker Adaptive Headlamp technology. The CVO Pan America is equipped with a series of robust accessories selected to enhance the ride, including Adaptive Ride Height suspension, sturdy aluminum top and side cases, a Screamin’ Eagle quick shifter, tubeless laced rims, LED auxiliary front lighting and an aluminum skid plate.
In 2023, the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models featured a bold new design direction for the Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring platform, the performance of the Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine, advanced suspension and infotainment technology powered by the exclusive Skyline operating system. Both models retain all these features in 2024 and feature striking new color options.
