On the second day of testing this week in Jerez, Toprak Razgatlioglu had a disagreement with Scott Redding. The British rider from Bonovo Action BMW took advantage of the slipstream of the BMW factory team riders, Toprak Razgatlioglu and Michael van der Mark, overtook, and set the third-best time of the tests.
Razgatlioglu didn’t like what he saw #45 doing. The 2021 champion told SPEEDWEEK.com that Redding fought and overtook unnecessarily at a time when he was trying to set a reference for van der Mark:
– I wanted to be a reference for Michael to help him a bit. Then Scott started fighting behind me. That wasn’t nice; it was just a test. Scott fought with Michael as if they were competing. We are all BMW riders, why didn’t he stay behind? I can understand that he followed us. But the overtake was unnecessary.
