Miguel Oliveira will have the latest version of the Aprilia RS-GP in the 2024 MotoGP season, transitioning directly from the 2022 version to the 2024 model. Consequently, the Trackhouse Racing rider anticipates feeling many differences and getting accustomed to the new bike.
The rider from Almada told the press that he will have to go through an adaptation period but believes that once he overcomes it, he can compete for top positions:
– For sure I’m making a two-year step on the bike. So for sure the feeling must be different. For sure I have to spend some time to adapt to the bike. And that’s it. I expect that maybe the first couple of races we will… not struggle, but maybe we still not reach the full potential of the bike because we need time with it. But I think as soon as we get the bike in a good place we will be hopefully constantly challenging for good positions.
That said, Oliveira explained that, even being confident, for now it’s just expectations without knowing the chances: ‘It’s all shots in the dark: for the moment we just need to get started and really see what are the possibilities. But I’m confident and I also believe a lot on what Aprilia did on the new bike’.
