A new team in name and management, but everything will stay the same inside the garage, and that’s a good thing. This is how Raúl Fernández sees the year 2024, when he will have greater stability in his career as a rider for the first time.
The rider spoke about this at the team’s presentation to the fans: ‘We’ll keep the same team: the same mechanics and crew chief, and that’s a good thing. We’ll arrive at the garage in our leathers and we’ll see the same faces, which is very good for us, because it’s the second year with the same people and that’s a good thing, especially in my case because it’s the first time in my career that I’ll have two years with the same people’.
Regarding his new team, Fernández admits it’s too early to have an opinion, but he guarantees that the enthusiasm shown for the project has been contagious:
– Honestly, for me it was a big surprise when they were in Madrid, where we had a meeting at the end of last year. When I spoke to them I got a very good feeling and I was impressed by them. Their mentality is impressive and we took a big step forward in that respect at the end of last year’s World Championship. They’re very professional but, honestly, I can’t say any more right now. Maybe in one or two races I’ll get a real impression of them.
