In recent days, Harley-Davidson has added the new 2024 models to its range and the most important changes concern the Grand American Touring and, in particular, the new Street Glide and Road Glide. Let’s take a closer look at everything that’s changing on the Street Glide, probably one of the most representative and recognizable American tourers of all time.
The Street Glide – in H-D’s press releases, they always address the man – has been completely revamped for 2024. This can be seen in the more modern and refined design, which manages to retain the recognizable character of such an iconic model, but at the same time is clearly the most important aesthetic evolution in its history. Other interventions involved:
The 1,923 cc Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine has been updated and features a new cooling system that further optimizes thermal comfort for the rider and an optimized intake and exhaust flow to increase performance. The current power output is 107 hp/80 kW at 5,020 rpm and, more importantly, 175 Nm at 3,500 rpm. Fuel consumption is 6 liters per 100 km.
Selectable riding modes – Road, Sport, Rain and Custom – electronically control the bike’s performance characteristics. Infotainment technology is managed by Skyline OS through a 12.3-inch TFT color touchscreen that replaces all analog instruments and most switches. A new 200-watt audio amplifier powers a pair of speakers mounted in the front fairing.
Improved aerodynamics increase rider comfort and reduce the impact of air on the helmet at high speed by an average of 60%. The rear suspension travel has been increased by 76 mm. The redesigned shape of the one-piece seat and the padding materials offer a significant improvement in comfort.
The Street Glide MY 2024 is scheduled to arrive in Harley-Davidson dealerships in March. You can choose between the chrome or black finish of the twin-cylinder engine and exhausts and combine it with eight different stunning colors.
