Brad Binder may not have set the fastest lap on the last day of MotoGP testing in Sepang, but he certainly showed speed – quite literally. The Red Bull KTM rider had the highest top speed (338.5km/h) and the best average top speed (338km/h).
When asked if this record can be explained by braking, engine power, or aerodynamics, the South African mentioned that there are no certainties, but he somewhat downplayed the data:
– I’m not too sure. I saw my fastest top speed was on my first flying lap in the morning when the grip was mint, it was nice and cold. I didn’t have a look at the top speed after that. But we got a bit of speed.
