The MotoGP test that took place this week in Sepang began to give hints about what to expect in the new season. Although it’s hard to read timesheets and performances properly in a testing context, some indications were left on the track.
Ducati, for example, asserted its supremacy with five bikes among the top six fastest – appearing to have an advantage at this stage. And the grid remained relatively balanced, with 12 riders separated by less than a second.
Jorge Martín, from Prima Pramac, was the second fastest and said there were no surprises in this test: ‘I think all the things I was expecting happened. A lot of stronger riders who will be fighting for the title’.
