KTM gives a hint it may not use all the six wildcards in MotoGP: ‘It’s something we can do, but we’ll never do’

Thanks to the new concession regulations, KTM could make up to six wildcards throughout the 2024 MotoGP season. In recent years, the Austrian manufacturer has taken advantage of some opportunities, and this year it will have two very capable test riders for occasional participations – Dani Pedrosa and Pol Espargaró.

However, team manager Francesco Guidotti hinted that they may not use all available wildcards. For now, he assured, plans are still being made:

– Six wildcards is what we potentially can do, but I can’t see any… six wildcards is really a lot, it’s something we can do, but we will never do. We are planning a few of them with Pol and Dani, but we didn’t fixed anything yet. We will do it shortly.
