Yamaha presented its new Gran Filano Hybrid Connected in Indonesia. The styling is retro, inspired by the classic styling trend that continues to seduce many enthusiasts, even the younger ones. 12-inch wheels, luxurious and elegant design combined with numerous modern elements, such as the color TFT instrument panel, a first for a vehicle in this segment. The elegant look is reinforced by a well-maintained and rigorous LED lighting compartment for both the front and rear lights. There is also a courtesy light inside the under-seat compartment, with a capacity of 27 liters, which can comfortably accommodate a helmet and other objects.
But the real big news relates to the hybrid nature of this scooter, which uses a 125 cc Blue Core Hybrid engine with the help of an electric motor that offers a kind of “assistance” especially during acceleration, thus allowing for significant fuel savings. There is also the classic start & stop system that switches off the engine when you stop at traffic lights.
Modern equipment can also be seen in the presence of important details such as keyless ignition and the possibility of charging your smartphone very conveniently via a socket behind the scooter’s guard. The fuel filler neck is also located on the rear guard, eliminating the need to open the seat to refuel. Finally, great attention has been paid to connectivity, as it is possible to receive notifications about the scooter’s status via a dedicated app.
We can only wait to see if this scooter will make it to our market, for now we have no official announcement from Yamaha.
