Honda is determined to climb out of the “pit” of poor results in MotoGP and return to success. And, months after leaving the Japanese manufacturer, Marc Márquez seems to notice many differences from the contact he has with the team.
His successor was Luca Marini, who is now taking his first steps at Repsol Honda. Asked if he can feel any kind of change, the Italian stated: ‘I just heard the comments of people that are working here, saying that was a big change, the Japanese are working hard, everybody is working hard’.
Despite the willingness and effort, Marini emphasized that time is needed in the recovery process: ‘We want to comeback as soon as possible, but I think we need time, we need to understand well the situation. The bike is so new that we need to also find a way to make it work in a proper way. Because also the setting changes a lot compared to last year, the aerodynamics are different. This is a new project, but with a good energy, good vibes. Everybody is pushing a lot’.
