The first day of MotoGP testing in Losail is drawing to a close, and Francesco Bagnaia currently holds the fastest time. Riders have significantly improved their performances during the night session.
At the time of writing this article, Bagnaia (Ducati) leads the pack with a time of 1m52.040s, 0.220s ahead of Jorge Martín (Pramac Ducati), with Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team Ducati) in third. Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia), who previously led the standings, is now fourth, 0.526s behind, while Enea Bastianini (Ducati) closes out the top five.
The best KTM performer is Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM) in eighth, just ahead of rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3 KTM) and Marc Márquez (Gresini Ducati). Fabio Quartararo, currently in 12th, leads the way for Monster Energy Yamaha, while Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) is the highest-ranked Honda rider in 16th.
