The MotoE tests in Portimão concluded on Friday, with Héctor Garzó setting the best time over the three days. However, Mattia Casadei emerged as the winner of the race simulation.
It was on the second day that Garzó (Dynavolt IntactGP) set the fastest time of the week, clocking in at 1m46.916s. On the same day, Thursday, Nicolas Spinelli (Tech3 E-Racing) was the second fastest of the tests, 0.120s behind the leader. Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini) followed, while Casadei (LCR E-Team) finished fourth and Óscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSI) fifth. Casadei and Gutiérrez’s times were set on the final day.
As is usual in the electric bike category, the tests included a race simulation, with seven laps completed on a wet track on Friday. Casadei emerged as the strongest, beating Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) by a clear 5.968s, while Kevin Manfredi (Ongetta SIC58 Squadra Corse) finished third, 8.734s behind – leaving Miquel Pons (Axxis-MSI) in fourth by just 0.043s. Gutiérrez finished fifth, and Garzó was 14th.
