Here’s Tom Vialle’s first AMA Supercross 250 win! After his podium last week, the Frenchman, who became MX2 World Champion in 2020 and 2022, travelled to the United States and it took him just over a year to achieve his main event triumphs, with Daytona seeing the KTM rider take the top step of the podium.
In the 250SX main event, when the gates opened, the most prominent riders were Haiden Deegan, Cameron McAdoo, Seth Hammaker, Jeremy Martin and Coty Schock, who took the lead of the race.
McAdoo soon moved into the lead, with Deegan following in second. Despite Deegan’s attempts to overtake McAdoo, a stoppage in momentum allowed Hammaker to capitalise, moving into third position. The race got even more exciting when Vialle passed Hammaker and Deegan, narrowing the gap to McAdoo.
The KTM rider, keen to get his first win after his recent podium finish, didn’t let the credit go to him and went on the attack, taking advantage of a mistake by the Kawasaki rider, who went off the track, to take the lead of the race. Vialle’s exceptional performance led him to his first ever victory in the 250SX main event, guaranteeing a memorable moment in his career.
Until the end, no-one else could beat Vialle, who made his winning debut with McAdoo in second and Hammaker in third.
