Brad Binder is seen as one of the highest title contenders for 2024 and he himselfs knows what he can do and that there is the potential for being better. His focus for now is to improve on sunday races, while hoping to discover where he sits versus the competition in terms of competitiveness.
Here is the rider thoughts before the action gets going: ‘There’s not so much to say on the first day but I’m super keen to start over again. Testing was cool. It’s always nice to make laps and feel the improvements and what not but now it’s actually time to go racing and that’s what we are here for’.
Asked about what he needs to be «really competitive» nowadays, the rider replied: ‘If I were to look back at my last season I need to finish my main races. I did quite well on the Sprint races but then I fall back on the sunday races, it wasn’t ideal for points, the rest was quite ok and I can’t complain. We need to see where we are compared to the other manufacturers to get a clear idea of were we improved and were we need to work, but we have touched in some of the issues we had last season and I feel a little bit more confident in areas we were weak and that alone is a step. The only question mark is were we stack up among the rest’.
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider continued his analysis: ‘I’m ready to do my absolute best and wheter that means being able to win races or fight for whatever may be that’s what I want to do. I know I am capable of it I’m hoping we have the full package all together and ready to. I think what we are starting here with is with what he finished the test, so most of that work is done. Of course this is a never ending project, there is new stuff always on development and on the way’, ending with a thought: ‘Where we were on the test we weren’t bad at all. I’m missing a little bit for sure but I’m hoping to make it up’.
