After leaving Repsol Honda, Marc Márquez is competing this year in MotoGP with a satellite team for the first time – Gresini. With that, he has also entered the Ducati «sphere», which supplies the bikes to the Italian team.
Since the announcement came in October last year, the Spaniard has quickly been seen as a potential addition to the Ducati factory team for 2025. And that possibility is real.
Davide Tardozzi, team manager of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer, stated to AS newspaper: ‘Of course Márquez can also join the fight to be Pecco’s teammate, but we won’t be in a hurry. I don’t know when that decision will be made. Márquez is a great champion’.
It’s worth noting that Bagnaia’s renewal until 2026 was recently announced. His current teammate is Enea Bastianini, whose contract expires at the end of this year. Another possible candidate is last year’s vice-world champion, Jorge Martín, also at the end of his contract and currently with Prima Pramac.
