Fabio Quartararo and Yamaha are, day by day, apparently further way from each other as the rider doesn’t see the manufacturer being that competitive and a progress that, despite happening, is taking ‘too long’ as he himself already said before. Now the french confessed to be in talks with ‘everyone’ while trying to get a balance from the financial part as, at the same time, getting into a project that allows him to fight for the top positions.
The former world champion is still struggling with his M1 when it comes to battle the most competitive riders and, speaking to Sky Sport he told he is discussing his future, not only with Yamaha: ‘We’re talking to everyone about my future. I think it’s interesting to do so’.
Still his decision won’t happen right away, despite acknowledging the decision won’t take much long to be made: ‘It won’t be months and months before I make a decision, I will soon make my own path for the future. I’m not saying it will arrive soon, but I won’t wait that long’.
The financial part is also important as he noted, but also having a proper competitive bike: ‘Money is an important factor for everyone. But I want a project that I like and allows me to achieve the results I want’.
There will be many riders looking for a new contract towards next season as the big majority of the grid won’t have contracts set yet, so there is to expect a lot of changes for 2025.
