The 2024 edition of Vespa World Days, the annual meeting of national Vespa Clubs from around the world, will take place from Thursday, April 18 to Sunday, April 21 in Pontedera, the city where the Vespa was born and has been produced without interruption since 1946.
There will be 8,000 Vespisti representing 54 nations, more than 660 Vespa Clubs from five continents who have registered for the event in just five days; 3,000 of them even within the first hour of registration opening!
They will be joined by thousands of other curious people and supporters eager to discover the Lands of Pisa behind the wheel of their beloved Vespa.
“We’re hosting an international event with thousands of participants,” commented Matteo Franconi, Mayor of Pontedera, “which will have an exceptional impact on the whole area. This is an important recognition for the city of Pontedera, for the whole area and for the community. It’s an award that honors a brand that has written the history of Pontedera, an entrepreneurship that has been present for a hundred years with its factory, all the men and women who have worked at Piaggio, contributing to the birth and development of a true myth, and which, at the same time, is the crowning achievement of a journey that the Vespa Club Pontedera has made over the years, with the many initiatives promoted over time that have brought us this far.”
An event that extends over time and space, a meeting that aims to present the excellence of Tuscany to the world, a meeting of enthusiasts, groups of friends and families who share a love of the Vespa.
It will be a local event, sponsored by the Region of Tuscany and Terre di Pisa, and, in addition to Pontedera, it will also involve 20 other municipalities in the Valdera area, fully in line with the Italian Car Week 2024 program, since the city of the Vespa is one of the bases of the ANCI Motor City Circuit.
