After the MotoGP Spanish Grand Prix, it’s time to look at the championship standings after four rounds. And the leader remains Jorge Martín.
The Spaniard from Prima Pramac recorded his first retirement of the season, but the victory in the Sprint race and the points lead he had allowed him to maintain the championship lead. However, the margin is smaller: Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) moved up to second with his return to victory and is 17 points behind Martín.
Enea Bastianini (Ducati) dropped to third, 22 points off the top, while Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) is fourth, 23 points off the top after his worst result so far. Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) dropped from third to fifth, while Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) climbed to sixth.
Fabio Quartararo remains the top rider for Monster Energy Yamaha, now in 12th, while on Honda, the best is Joan Mir. The Repsol Honda Spaniard is in 16th place. Dani Pedrosa (Red Bull KTM) was a wildcard in Jerez, and the seven points he scored allowed him to place 18th as the best of the occasional participants.
