A Moto2 official test day took place yesterday in Jerez, during which Ai Ogura had a big scare. The rider had a severe crash at high speed, from which he emerged unharmed.
The MT Helmets-MSi team, to which the Japanese rider belongs, took to social media to address the incident: ‘We had a good scare with Ai Ogura’. In response to a comment on social media X, the team confirmed that everything ‘is perfect’ with Ogura.
The same cannot be said for the bike. The Boscoscuro machine suffered extensive damage, with the fork hanging on the fence that protects the area for the audience after the escape in turn two.
There is no video of the crash itself, after which Ogura did not return to riding. However, images aired by Sky Sport MotoGP show the condition of the bike. You can see it below.
