Jo Shimoda was the highlight of the night in Denver, counting for the penultimate round of the AMA Supercross 250 in the West. The Team Honda HRC rider got the holeshot and led every lap.
Shimoda was the fastest in the main event of the night at the Empower Field at Mile High and achieved an important victory that mathematically allows him to still dream of the category title even if he has to wait for a terrible night from those ahead of him in the classification, a since he is ranked fourth.
Levi Kitchen was second and RJ Hampshire third, with the latter being precisely the leading pair in the championship and equal on points. The first to be left off the podium was Nate Thrasher, ahead of Jordon Smith.
In the general classification, there are two riders who are ahead and on equal terms, both with 186 points: Levi Kitchen and RJ Hampshire, although Smith (165) and Shimoda (163) can still reach the title, but it doesn’t just depend on them.
