One of the many riders with an uncertain future in MotoGP is Álex Márquez. The rider is in the second year of a two-year contract with Gresini, which means he could either stay or move to another team.
In an interview with the Relevo website, Márquez was asked about his plans for 2025 and whether staying with a Ducati bike is part of his future plans. In response, Márquez stated:
– Yes, yes, I am clear about this, and there is a nice option, that if everything fits together… it’s like always, the rider market is like a staircase, everyone positions themselves, and you need to see where those currently leading the championship will go, because that’s how it happens, and from there it’s a domino effect. If all the situations that I think need to happen do happen, there could be something very beautiful, and it could be interesting.
The first top rider confirmation was Francesco Bagnaia with Ducati, followed by Fabio Quartararo with Monster Energy Yamaha. One of the key spots yet to be filled is at Ducati, with at least three strong candidates: Enea Bastianini (Ducati), Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati), and Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
