Enea Bastianini successfully reached the MotoGP round in Portugal, where last year’s round in Portimão marked his season in a negative light. Now, it’s a page completely turned and second place made the Italian very happy.
‘I’m very happy with the race, especially after having a big crash here last year, and it was important to get back on the podium. At the start I was a bit nervous and I made a few mistakes in my first three or four laps, but after that it was a very nice race’ the Italian said in the parc fermé before praising on the winner and looking at what happened to Maverick Viñales:
– Jorge’s [Martín] pace was very fast and when I was a bit closer he pushed harder and gained some distance on me. Maverick was also very fast, but in the end I don’t know what happened on the straight. It’s another podium, a second place and I can be happy.
