Luca Marini has joined the Repsol Honda Team for the next two years and Alberto Puig is delighted to have the Italian, who he considers to be very methodical in the way he works.
The team’s Team Manager spoke about the #10, heaping praise on him: ‘Professional is not the word. He’s very methodical and he’s a guy who doesn’t want to leave anything for later, he wants to point out everything he feels and his comments are very clear, with a very clear understanding even though it’s his first time with Honda’.
In the opinion of the Honda boss, ‘Maro’ is adapting well to the new bike after three years at the helm of the Ducati Desmosedici: ‘He is very promising and comes from a bike with a high performance and is now understanding this machine, he has adapted very well to the team and we are very happy to have him with us’.
Marini was 19th on the third day of testing at Sepang (1:58.008s), while his teammate Joan Mir was 10th (1:57.374s).
