Indian has launched the countdown to the new Scout: the current model will be replaced (or complemented) by a completely new version to be presented on April 2, as indicated in the short teaser that the American manufacturer published on its social networks as a prelude to the world premiere of the new model, details of which are not yet available.
Today’s Indian Scout is equipped with a 1133 cc twin-cylinder engine, with 95 hp of power and 97 Nm of maximum torque, and is one of the most iconic motorcycles in the world, since its production has continued since 1920, despite being introduced the previous year.
What can we expect? The fact that Indian published the teaser without hinting at anything and with the statement “all new” leads us to suspect that this is a completely new generation, both in technical and stylistic terms; most likely a tribute to the Indian heritage in terms of paint and design, as was the case with the recent Elite version of the Roadmaster, for which the Indian Motorcycle red color scheme was used. Beyond that, we can’t honestly say and, at the moment, we can’t even confirm the rumors that would like to see an increase in displacement and power above 100 hp to counter the competition from the Harley-Davidson Sportster S and Nightster. All that remains is to wait for the official launch.
