Ana Carrasco remains the only woman to have been crowned FIM World Champion in motorcycle racing, achieving this in the Supersport 300 category amidst a field dominated by men. However, recent years have been marked by injuries, and in 2023, a similar scenario occurred during the Moto3 GP in Indonesia.
Participating in this category won’t be possible this year as she doesn’t have a seat, despite recovering from the injury sustained in Mandalika. At present, the Spanish rider doesn’t have any confirmed sporting plans for the new season, preparing herself regardless of what the coming months may hold.
Regarding her goals, despite the uncertainty, Carrasco reiterated to Marca newspaper that winning remains her objective: ‘It’s tough, truthfully, because I’d be lying if I said I don’t want to win. Ultimately, my intention both in the short and long term is always to try to be the best possible and keep improving as a rider. But my goal is to win again, wherever I may be. Sometimes it’s achievable, sometimes it’s not, but I wake up every day with the enthusiasm and desire to win’.
