Bearman made an impressive debut in the Formula 1 race, replacing Carlos Sainz during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Sainz was unable to participate due to appendicitis. Bearman qualified in 11th place and finished the race in 7th place, showcasing his talent as a young British driver. This weekend, Bearman will have another opportunity to drive an F1 car, albeit only in a practice session. He will be replacing Kevin Magnussen in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Bearman expressed his excitement to join the team again and participate in FP1 at Imola. He hopes that his increased experience since last time together will contribute to the team’s continued success. Nico Hulkenberg, who will leave Haas for Sauber/Audi in 2025, will also race in Imola for the first time. He is looking forward to experiencing the Autodromo Enzo and Dino Ferrari track, which he has already enjoyed in the simulator. Magnussen, on the other hand, is looking forward to a successful weekend in Imola. He considers it a great track and feels fortunate to have the opportunity to race there. He acknowledges the challenges of overtaking on this circuit and emphasizes the importance of qualifying. Magnussen also highlights the significance of racing in Italy and recognizes the history of the circuit, including the tragic accidents of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna. The 2023 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was canceled due to severe floods in the northern region of Italy.
