Apple has decided to give up on the launch of an electric vehicle after a decade of project development.
Although the car was never officially revealed, the technology company aimed to equip the model with a high set of advanced technologies, including autonomous driving.
Now, “Bloomberg” reports that Kevin Lynch, project director, informed the 2,000 employees involved in the development of Apple’s car about the cancellation of the project, stating that the team will be transferred to the artificial intelligence division.
The closure of the project, known as Project Titan, comes at a time when there is a slowdown in the electric vehicle market and an increase in competition from traditional manufacturers. This represents a significant blow to Apple, which was hoping to enter the automotive market with a luxury autonomous electric vehicle.
